Tie between recently deceased Morris Barefield (Geometry) and Lyle Henderson (History, Soph Year). Mr. Barefield for his grace and patience, Mr. Henderson for instilling in me the love of History. I'll never forget him chuckling over a story about his time in WWII (where he was a Medic, I believe): claimed he blew up a whale that he thought was an enemy Sub; his buddies awarded him a harpoon. English teachers June Todd and Helen Moreau were fabulous as well. I also really liked my Advisor, French teacher Kathleen Dempsey - she was new our freshman year and not much older than us.

Hanging out with my friends, and singing with the various musical groups over the years. I feel lucky that I was able to sing under Arline Ream's (Musettes) and Frances Anderson's (Girls Ensemble) guidance. They were definitely "old school" but if I do say so myself, our sound was excellent because of their fastidiousness (word?). I remember my mother talking about Mrs. Ream always having a dress for the various Festivals that had a fabulous back to it, since she knew that was what the Audience would be seeing!

P.E. (of course the notorious posture pictures), particularly swim class and the hideous showers.

Learning how to write a term paper! Freshman year at Arizona, that really loomed large when we spent the first semester going over the basics ... yawn. And, of course, learning how to drive - Mr. Krumpelstaedter told me in "Simulator" that I would be a terrible driver - he'd be proud to know I've only had a few tickets over the years!!!
