Attn. Jammers,

Slots for the New Trier Allstar Jam are quickly filling up. If you have not yet claimed a slot, and would like to do so, please email me asap at davidorr14@hotmail.com

What we’ve got thus far for our listening pleasure:

--The John Temmerman Jazz Quartet

--The Bitter Root Band

--Sun Village

--Jim MaKay & Friends

--Sloe Gin

--The Ernie Thasbie Review

--Scott Rosen’s Buddy Holley Tribute

--Plus various solo and duet acts

--And, the Grand Finale Blues Jam (all are invited to participate)

I need to close this out soon, so I can allow time for each act.

Thanks,

David

PREVIOUS UPDATES FROM THE CZAR:

I need the rest of you jammers to start forming groups, think about what you want to play, and claim your own segments ASAP. You can contact me about any of this via fb messaging, or at davidorr14@hotmail.com

Thanks,

--David Orr, Music Czar

MUSICIANS: thus far, the only "solids" I have are the Sun Village 41 year reunion, Doug Blake solo jazz guitar (excellent, by the way) and a set of Buddy Holley tunes by Scott Rosen. I need to know what the rest of you want to play, who you plan to play it with, etc. ASAP. We have a number of people who have no internet whatsoever, so I'll have to coordinate via phone/ flares / whatever. Hope to have the list of musicians w/ contacts up soon so we can start forming bands for the evening (currently looks like I expected - heavy on guitarists, light on bassists and drummers, and a mix of other in there: sax, trombone, congas, flute, marimba...). I know that it seems to most of you that this is six months away, so what's the rush (?), but it's my job to not only turn this into a fun time for all of the great musicians from our class to get to play together once again (my original intention), but to also to turn this into an entertaining show.

Email Music Czar David Orr by clicking HERE.

BTW:  Because it turns out that there are costs associated with this event, each attendee is asked to pay $10, with the understanding that if there are excess funds they will be used to provide a direct benefit (such as a drink or two) or a contribution to New Trier (in the unlikely event that no one drinks at the All-Star Jam).
